Fast-growing 3PL continues strong kickoff to 2023 with second of three expansion ventures
MANGALORE – SPARX logistics, a global 3PL specializing in the creation and execution of customized full-service logistics solutions, is proud to announce the opening of SPARX India headquartered in Mangalore, the first of five (5) planned locations. After years of being heralded as the next great global manufacturing hub, India has taken major strides in recent years, posting real GDP growth of 8.7 percent from 2021 through July of 2022. In addition, India’s merchandise export value in 2021-2022 (April-January) reached USD 335.44 billion, a 46.53% increase over the same period in 2020-2021.
Located on the Arabian Sea along the country’s southwest coast, Mangalore has recently experienced a strong surge in export volume, driven by products such as iron ore, coffee and fish meal, as well as increased import demand for petroleum products. It is also the only city in the Karnataka district to offer all modes of transport: air, sea, rail and over-the-road. In the near future, the SPARX India network will expand to include Mumbai, home to Nhava Sheva, the country’s busiest port; and Mundra, the largest private port in the nation. Other sites under consideration for SPARX offices include Bangalore, the IT capital of India, and Chennai, one of the country’s most vibrant retail hubs.
