Visibility Platform

Over the last few months, SPARX has been working on the development of new solutions aimed at improving logistics management. In an environment where supply chains are increasingly global and complex, having centralized and updated information in real time has become essential for efficient decision-making.

Not only does having a visibility platform allow you to integrate and track your operation in one place, but according to data published by Harvard Business Review, companies that optimize their supply chains can reduce their operating costs by 20% to 40%.

These types of results motivated us to develop our own solution that would respond to the real needs of the logistics sector and bring tangible value to our customers.

To learn the details behind this innovative development, we spoke with Pablo García, our Regional Systems Administrator, who was a key part of the team that made this project a reality.

1. Pablo, let's start at the beginning. What led you and your team to develop SPARX Pulse?

The idea behind SPARX Pulse stemmed from a growing need we saw in our customer base: the need for complete, real-time visibility and control over freight and supply chain operations. In international logistics, it's very easy for information to get lost: goods are handled by multiple suppliers, in different countries, time zones, and systems. Many of our customers relied on emails, spreadsheets, and fragmented updates to stay informed. That's when we knew we had to build something smarter.

SPARX Pulse was designed to solve that exact problem. From day one, we wanted to offer a platform that brought together all the important shipment data in one place: easy to use, clear to understand, and powerful enough to predict what might happen next. It's not just about knowing where your cargo is. It's about being prepared, making decisions faster, and giving our customers peace of mind at every stage of the journey.

2. In practical terms, what problems does SPARX Pulse help customers solve?

SPARX Pulse addresses several common challenges. First, the lack of real-time visibility: Customers often don't know exactly where their cargo is or what's causing a delay. Second, too much time is spent chasing updates among freight forwarders, warehouses, customs brokers, and transportation providers. And third, many companies don't have tools to anticipate risks or delays before they happen.

Our platform brings all of that together. Customers can track their shipments, products, and transportation units on one dashboard. They receive automatic alerts if something changes, such as a lost vessel, bad weather, or a customs issue. What's more, the platform offers environmental information, showing estimated carbon emissions and suggesting more sustainable transport routes. That combination of visibility, predictability, and accountability is what makes SPARX Pulse truly different.

3. Many companies use transportation or logistics software. How is SPARX Pulse different from those tools?

That's an excellent question. Many companies use different systems to manage their logistics and gain visibility: sometimes in-house software, other times carrier portals. However, these tools often operate in isolation and offer only a fragmented view.

What makes SPARX Pulse unique is that it integrates all components of the supply chain into a single platform, adding predictive intelligence to anticipate events and optimize the operation.

We've built SPARX Pulse using advanced technology that collects real-time data from multiple sources: airline and shipping company tracking systems, port and warehouse activity, road and traffic data, and even weather forecasts. All that information becomes a live dashboard where customers can see what's happening right now and what's likely to happen next. It's not just about tracking, it's about helping you take action before a problem starts.

SPARX Pulse evolution.

After several months of work, SPARX Pulse was finally up and running. But that was just the beginning. The real challenge was to understand how our customers adapted to this new visibility platform and whether it really brought them value in their daily operation. In this second stage, we focused on listening to their experience, observing how they incorporated it into their supply chain management and how useful it was for them to make more informed decisions. From there, we began to project how this solution could continue to evolve along with their needs.

4. What has been the most surprising reaction from customers since the launch of SPARX Pulse?

Honestly, what surprised us the most was the speed of adoption. We expected a gradual rollout, perhaps some resistance to change, but the response was extremely positive from the get-go. One of our customers told us, "For the first time, I feel like I have control over my supply chain." That's exactly the impact we hoped to achieve.

Customers not only adopted the visibility platform, but quickly began to ask for more. Some requested advanced reporting features; others, direct integration with your company's internal systems. That level of enthusiasm confirmed what we sensed from the beginning: visibility is no longer a luxury, it's a necessity that supply chain professionals are actively seeking out and ready to implement.

5. SPARX Pulse also supports sustainability efforts. How does it work in that area?

Sustainability is a fundamental pillar for us and has been integrated into SPARX Pulse from the beginning. For each shipment, the visibility platform calculates the estimated carbon emissions, considering the distance, mode of transport and route used. This allows our customers to measure and compare their environmental impact in real-time, with a level of detail that drives more responsible decisions.

In addition, we offer suggestions for routes that are not only faster, but also more sustainable. The system identifies opportunities to reduce emissions, such as switching from air to ocean freight, where feasible. This is all part of our commitment to helping customers make more conscious logistics decisions, without sacrificing efficiency or operational visibility.

6. Where do you think SPARX Pulse is headed in the coming years?

We see SPARX Pulse becoming a fully digital command center for supply chain operations. We're adding new features, such as customizable dashboards, scenario planning, and automated alerts based on key performance indicators. Eventually, customers will be able to simulate different routes, forecast supply chain risks, and manage their entire flow of goods through one system.

Our long-term goal is not just to provide visibility, but to deliver intelligence, insights that help our customers make better decisions every day. We want SPARX Pulse to be at the center of your operations, supporting both day-to-day execution and long-term strategy.

7. And finally, what would you say to someone who hasn't explored SPARX Pulse yet?

I would say: If you've ever had doubts about the status of your shipments, delivery times, or transportation costs, you probably know how difficult it can be to have real visibility over the operation. SPARX Pulse was born out of that need: to provide a tool that helps you make clearer decisions, anticipate problems, and stay in control seamlessly.

Today's logistics move fast. But with SPARX Pulse, you move faster, with clarity, with knowledge, and with control. That's the difference.

Conclusion

While the initial results of SPARX Pulse have been very positive and have met our expectations, we know that there is always room for further improvement. For this reason, we continue to refine the platform based on feedback from our customers, so that it remains aligned with the real needs of the logistics sector. In this process, we have confirmed something fundamental: investing in a real-time visibility platform not only improves daily operations, but represents a long-term strategic decision, capable of generating greater efficiency, risk anticipation and more informed decision-making.
